We work in a fast-paced environment.  Our APM supports the senior project management team performing important, and even critical, tasks that our teams rely on to do great work.   This fast pace will also be a tremendous learning environment whether you are just getting started in construction, or a seasoned APM looking to take the next step to a full Project Manager position

Responsibilities

  • Be certain safety standards are always on the front burner. Everyone goes home safe
  • Handle all required documentation correctly, on schedule, and professionally
  • Assist in creating and managing project budget for all assigned projects
  • Develop pre-construction RFP packages and support the bidding process
  • Assist in conducting project meetings, setting, and managing schedules and completing monthly reports
  • Execute project management tasks (RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders)
  • Ensure project quality control standards are met
  • Assure project logistics, communications, and planning functions are correctly implemented
  • Assist in managing the closeout process
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project guaranteeing a positive client experience

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business
  • In lieu of a four-year degree, additional construction management work experience with a two-year degree is acceptable
  • 2-3 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Previous experience on commercial construction project sites strongly preferred
  • An eye for quality and high levels of workmanship
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to:
    • Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on professional business writing and verbal skills
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude; be team oriented, while able to work independently; have a true passion for construction
    • Gather data, analyze it into organized presentations, and relay that information through clear, concise communications to team members
    • Have ability to see how multiple components of work tasks fit into and affect the overall picture
    • Be highly organized and able to manage numerous tasks and priorities
