ULTRA Company Community Initiatives Recap
Now that we are into the new year, we want to thank everyone that supported ULTRA Company in 2020! It was an especially difficult year for many people throughout the world and the Northern Virginia area, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
While we struggled like many others, our company is starting 2021 stronger than ever thanks to our amazing employees, contractors, and customers. We were fortunate enough to be able to participate in some activities last year that we feel helped strengthen our community.
In October of 2020, ULTRA Company participated in the “Get Fit for Cares Challenge”. This event was hosted by the Community Management Corporation (CAI) and benefitted the Associa Cares charity. This event raised over $115,000 to help support families and communities throughout the country that are in crisis.
In December of 2020, ULTRA Company hosted an employee gift card drive to support Bethany House of Northern Virginia. This local charity supports victims of domestic abuse and helped shelter about 88 women and children last year. ULTRA Company and employees delivered 32 gift cards to help these families get through the holidays!
Lastly, ULTRA employees Justin, Marvin, Jorge, and Ignacio spent hours working with our President Michael, to create a beautiful holiday light show at Mike’s house. Mike said he was inspired by his 4-year-old granddaughter to help brighten up the holidays for everyone and forget about Covid for a few moments. This display was even showcased by a few local media outlets. The display was even featured on Holly’s Tacky Christmas Lights.
We are all very grateful to be healthy and moving into a new year. We are hoping to get out and help our community in even more ways in 2021!
